  Beautiful park, but somewhat lacking I'm amenities. It has some fireplaces and baseball diamonds in it, but that's about it. What it does have is space, lots of great open fields for summer activities and an awesome series of crisscrossing jogging paths across the bridge in the middle of the park. This place is a great option to go walking through nature, a family picnic or gathering, organize some games and go fishing. But for its relatively important past, Ive never noticed so much as a plaque for its historical significance...

  La Barriere has an incredible disc golf course that is excellent for experienced & new players. Picturesque views with tricky shots combine for a great time in this park.

  Gorgeous park for a walk, also has Frisbee golf goals. Great place close to the city to go kayaking or canoeing

  Excelent for a safe and gentle paddle most of the year, not too crowded and the forest is nice. The river has some current and debris during flooding when it also tends to expand in to the forest on its banks, a really interesting experience for more advanced paddlers.
